I've been using OpenAi ChatGPT 3.5 for some things but want something more solid and up to date. So I'm at a point to subscribe but should it be Github Copilot or Chat-GPT. Is one better, are they different, do each have their own strengths and weaknesses ?
GitHub Copilot is what you would subscribe to, direct link here: github.com/github-copilot/signup. GH Copilot is currently available for you to start using and code with.
GitHub Copilot Chat is a separate extension. And you would need to join the waitlist to gain access to it as an individual. GitHub Copilot Chat is where you can have natural language conversations with GH Copilot in a chat box.
Right but I want to know, if you or anyone has an opinion on which is better, Chat-GPT 4 or Github Copilot ?
Chat-GPT4 can answer any questions and is not so well integrated in your IDE. GitHub Copilot is well integrated but can only answer programming related Topics
