I built Monk Mode because I was tired of losing entire work sessions to feed traps.
You know the drill. Open YouTube to look up one thing. End up on Shorts. Open X for a quick check. Ten minutes later you are reading replies, not building.
Monk Mode blocks YouTube Home, Shorts, X For You, Reddit front pages, and other distraction loops on Mac. Not because feeds are evil. Because context switching is expensive and most of us need fewer exits, not more willpower.
What I wanted was simple:
- fewer reflex opens
- fewer fake breaks
- more uninterrupted shipping time
That is the whole product.
