Apple has announced its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, powered by the A20 Pro chip.
The device features a 7.6-inch internal folding display with a matte nanotexture finish, a titanium chassis, dual 48-megapixel cameras, and a side-mounted Touch ID sensor.
The screens and the construction
The iPhone Duo features a 5,4-inch external display that supports fast image movement and reaches up to 3.000 nits of peak brightness. The internal display is 7,6 inches and has a special matte coating that reduces reflections and hides the crease.
The device is made of titanium and is dust and water resistant. Instead of facial recognition, the company has chosen to place a fingerprint sensor on the side, inside the lock button. The weight of the phone reaches 254 grams.
Performance and battery
Inside the device is the A20 Pro processor. Multitasking features allow users to easily open and pin apps side by side or on top of each other.

In local video playback tests, the battery lasted 28 hours and 48 minutes. Wired charging can reach up to 50 percent in 20 minutes with a 60-watt charger, while wireless charging reaches up to 25 watts.
Cameras and the challenge of applications
The rear camera system includes two 48-megapixel sensors, accompanied by a 12-megapixel camera on the outer display and a hidden camera under the inner display.
Many third-party apps, like Telegram, are not yet optimized, leaving empty space on the screen or requiring manual expansion.
