QoraCRM: A Complete Walkthrough of a Self-Hosted CRM for WordPress

I've been building QoraCRM, a lightweight, self-hosted CRM plugin for WordPress.

The idea behind the project is straightforward: if a business already runs its website on WordPress and receives leads through forms, why send that data through several external services just to manage it as a lead?

QoraCRM brings the lead management workflow directly into WordPress.

What is QoraCRM?

QoraCRM is designed around a simple workflow:

Website form → Lead → Assignment → Follow-up → Pipeline → Customer

Instead of managing form submissions through email or spreadsheets, the goal is to give the team a place inside WordPress where leads can be organized and followed up.

Dashboard

The dashboard provides an overview of the CRM and helps the team see what's happening with their leads.

You can monitor lead activity and basic statistics without having to leave WordPress.

Lead Management

Each submission can become a manageable lead.

The lead record provides a place for customer information, notes and other details needed by the team.

This is especially useful for businesses where the important part isn't just collecting a form submission, but actually following up with the person who submitted it.

Kanban Pipeline

QoraCRM includes a visual Kanban pipeline for managing lead stages.

For example:

New → Contacted → Follow-up → Qualified → Won/Lost

Stages can be adapted to the workflow of the business.

This makes it easier to see which leads need attention instead of searching through emails or spreadsheets.

Team Assignment

Leads can be assigned to team members so everyone knows who is responsible for following up.

This is useful for small teams where leads need to be distributed between salespeople, support staff or other members of the organization.

Form Builder

QoraCRM also includes a visual form builder.

The goal is to make it possible to create the form and manage the resulting leads within the same WordPress environment.

For existing websites, QoraCRM also supports working with data from several popular WordPress form plugins.

Notes and Follow-ups

A CRM is only useful if the team can keep track of what happened with a lead.

QoraCRM provides notes and follow-up functionality so information doesn't have to live in someone's inbox or in a separate spreadsheet.

API and Webhooks

For more advanced workflows, QoraCRM provides API and webhook functionality.

This makes it possible to connect the CRM with other services or build custom integrations when the standard workflow isn't enough.

Spam Protection

Lead forms also need protection from unwanted submissions.

QoraCRM includes spam protection to help keep the lead database cleaner.

Importing Existing Leads

If you're already using another WordPress form plugin, moving to a new CRM shouldn't mean starting from zero.

QoraCRM supports importing/integrating with several popular WordPress form plugins, making it easier to bring existing form data into the CRM workflow.

Who is QoraCRM for?

QoraCRM is primarily aimed at small businesses, agencies and WordPress site owners who:

receive leads through their website
currently manage enquiries through email or spreadsheets
need a simple sales pipeline
have a small team that needs lead assignment
prefer keeping customer data inside their own WordPress installation
don't need a large enterprise CRM

It isn't intended to replace every feature of a large CRM platform.

The goal is to keep the workflow focused on website leads and make it available directly inside WordPress.

Feedback

I'm still actively developing QoraCRM, so feedback from people actually using it with real WordPress websites is especially useful.

If you manage leads through WordPress, I'd be interested to hear what your current workflow looks like and what you'd want a WordPress CRM to handle.
