A sponsored post in a 100K–500K channel costs about $130 in Russia, $40 in the US, $30 in India and $13 in Egypt. Here is why the spread is so wide.
Telegram has no ad marketplace with public rates for most of the world. Admins set prices themselves, deals happen in DMs, and the "Telegram ad price" numbers floating around are usually one person's anecdote. We index public Telegram channels for TGMarket, so we estimated the price of one sponsored post for every active channel we can attribute to a country, and summarised it by country.
Scope: about 120,000 public channels with 1,000+ subscribers that posted in the last 30 days, in 51 countries. Scam/fake-flagged, adult and shock channels and channels with signs of bought views are excluded. A "post" is the standard format: pinned for an hour, kept in the feed for 24 hours.
The table

The other 33 countries (Germany, the UK, Brazil, Kazakhstan and more) have too few large channels for the 100K–500K column; their mid-size prices are in the full table, which refreshes daily.
1. You pay for views, not subscribers
The estimate starts from a channel's measured reach: how many views a post collects in its first 24 hours. That number is often a small fraction of the subscriber count. Large channels accumulate years of inactive followers, and some buy them. Two channels with 200,000 subscribers can differ in reach several times over, and so can their price.
This is also why the 100K–500K price varies so much between countries. Belarus tops the table not because Belarusian advertisers pay more per view (its CPM is lower than Russia's), but because its large channels keep unusually high reach.
2. Language sets the rate per view
Benchmark rates differ by audience language: Russian-language audiences are the most established and the most expensive Telegram ad market; English is next; Hindi and other Indian languages cost a fraction of English for the same reach. That is visible in the CPM columns: $9.6 in Russia, $6.0 in the US, $5.7 in India, $1.8–3.5 across the Middle East and Central Asia.
A side effect: a Russian-language channel in Kazakhstan, Georgia or the UAE is priced like a Russian one. In our data the main language of channels attributed to those countries is Russian, and their mid-size prices ($11–25) sit close to Russia's.
3. Small channels look expensive per view
The CPM in the 10K–50K column is higher than in the 100K–500K column almost everywhere. That is the minimum price at work: admins rarely sell a post below a few dollars, so a channel with 800 ad views and a $6 price has a $7.50 CPM. If you need cheap reach, a few larger channels with healthy views usually beat a dozen small ones.
How the estimate works
- Reach: typical 24-hour views per post, × 0.9 for sponsored posts. Where 24-hour reach isn't measured, it is derived from average views with a language-specific ratio.
- Price: reach × CPM benchmark for the channel's language group and niche ÷ 1,000, with a floor per post.
- Country: our confident estimate from the channel's name, description, posts and connected chats. Channels without a confident country are not in the table.
- Medians, not averages; prices rounded ($1 below $20, $5 below $200, $10 above), channel counts to two significant figures.
These are estimates, not completed deals. Admins discount repeat buyers, charge more for permanent posts and change prices with the season. Use them as a starting point for negotiation. The methodology and the by-niche and by-language breakdown are in the Telegram ad prices report.
