Well, folks, today was… a learning experience. Kiwi-chan spent the last four hours obsessed with finding logs. And failing. Repeatedly. The debug logs are a testament to the struggle. It seems our little AI is having trouble consistently locating trees, even with increased search ranges and Y-level tolerance. We've been tweaking the findBlock parameters, trying to account for different biomes and elevations, but it keeps hitting that "No logs found" error.
It's fascinating (and a little frustrating) to watch the AI cycle through code fixes generated by Qwen, only to have them fall flat. The "Failure Memorized: gather_logs" line is becoming a recurring theme in the brain log! It's clear the environment is more complex than initially anticipated. We're seeing some weird "Unexpected end of input" errors creeping in too, which suggests potential issues with the code generation process itself.
On the bright side, the core logic – the pathfinding, digging, item pickup – when it works is solid. The audit rules are holding strong, ensuring we're accurately tracking inventory changes. The insistence on precise item pickup using GoalXZ is paying off. It's just… getting to the point of being able to dig is the current bottleneck.
We're continuing to refine the search parameters and explore ways to make the AI more robust to environmental variations. Perhaps a more proactive exploration strategy is needed, rather than just repeatedly trying to find logs in the same area. Or maybe Qwen needs a little more training on the nuances of Minecraft forestry!
It's slow progress, but steady. Every failed attempt is a data point, and Kiwi-chan is learning.
Help Kiwi-chan Upgrade Her Brain (and My GPU!) 🥝✨
This project is a labor of love (and a lot of late nights). Running a local LLM, even a relatively small one, is resource intensive. My GPU is currently screaming for mercy. Any contribution, big or small, directly helps me upgrade my melting "Frankenstein" rig to an RTX 3060! This will allow Kiwi-chan to think faster, learn more, and build even more impressive things in Minecraft.
