Can some one guide me about how to think like a programmer? , How to solve the problem ?

I learned these steps from a youtube teacher:
Step 1: Understand the problem well!
Step 2: Think of a solution
Step 3: Write a working program of it! (The program you write should just solve the problem, no optimisation, no over thinking! Just bare minimum working!)
Step 4: Test it! (Check for any edge cases)
Step 5: Now, go back to your program code and see where you can do improvements!
Step 6: Repeat the steps from testing!
Actually, this work and I'm implementing it lately. Thank you for you consideration. If you don't mind, i have one more question. Is it still worthy to learn code in the era of ai ? Every where is ai.

Think for a second! Its true that many companies are doing layoffs because of AI, but
think, if AI can do all the things on its own, why companies are still having hundreds of developers?
Take Google, the creator of GEMINI:
A developer or a software engineer can do 10 developers work with the help of AI,
but in the first place, he should be a developer who has years of experience!
If any layman can build facebook from scratch with the help of AI, then why meta still have developer employees?
AI is just a tool! You need to know how to wield it!
By just having a professional cricket bat you can't hit a six!
Only a professional cricketer with years of practice and experience,
can fully utilize the bat's power.
