The Useful Part of an Airdrop Guide Is What Changed

By Oren Rot

Disclosure: This article is an entry in the AirdropBuzz Creator Campaign, which offers competitive prizes. A reward is not guaranteed. I used AI tools in researching and preparing this article. I reviewed public pages; I did not connect a wallet, claim tokens or test payouts.

An airdrop guide can be accurate when it is written and misleading a week later. A claim opens, a deadline passes, rewards pause, or a project clarifies that collecting points is not a promise of tokens.

That is why the page I would check before an AirdropBuzz shortlist is its change log, not its highest score.

On October 21, 2026, AirdropBuzz's Airdrop Updates page displayed 101 updated guides. Each project appears once with its newest published change note. That makes the page a view of the latest changes, not a complete audit history. Still, the notes expose distinctions that a ranked list can hide.

Three changes, three different decisions

The HabibiDrop note says AirdropBuzz moved the guide to Risk / not recommended and cut its potential score from 44 to zero after the claim domain failed DNS/address checks on October 21. The same note says the contract and payouts remain unverified, with no proven-fraud finding.

Those statements should stay together. An unreachable domain is a reason to stop and investigate. It is not, by itself, proof that someone committed fraud. The useful result for a reader is a pause in action, not a stronger accusation than the evidence supports.

The SVP Chain note is different. It says rewards were paused for an upgrade on October 2 and October 20 checks still could not reach the saved portal. No restart date was verified. The guide calls this Paused, rather than confirmed ended or a scam.

For someone deciding where to spend time, that distinction matters. A large-looking opportunity is not actionable if its required portal is unavailable. A potential score does not replace an operational status check.

Then there is Loqua. Its update says there is still no confirmed token or airdrop, while reporting the project's statement that points carry over to its app at launch. Carrying points between interfaces and receiving a token allocation are different things. One does not establish the other.

A small research ledger beats a mental shortlist

I would turn these notes into a short ledger with five fields:

  • What changed, and when was it checked?
  • Is the next action available now?
  • What does it cost in money, permissions and time?
  • What reward is actually confirmed?
  • Which important claim remains unverified?

For the three examples above, the unresolved items are different: contract and payout evidence, a working portal and restart date, or the existence of a token reward. Treating all three as simply "an airdrop" loses information.

The ledger should link both the current guide and the project's own announcement where available. AirdropBuzz is a research aid, not the project issuing the reward. A dated editorial note is useful evidence of what the publication checked, but it cannot guarantee that a wallet signature is safe or that a future distribution will happen.

The campaign itself illustrates the point

AirdropBuzz's own creator campaign says its deadline was extended from November 19 to December 26, 2026, at 11:59 PM IST because participation was lower than expected. It says existing approvals remain valid and the prize pool and entry limit are unchanged.

That is a material change for an entrant. It creates more preparation time, but also means a later competition end. Approved content is not a prize: final ranking depends on quality, originality, engagement, reach, accuracy and creativity, followed by verification.

This article is entered in that competition. The possible reward does not change the limitations of the source pages or turn my review into a payout test.

My takeaway is simple: check what changed before deciding what to do. Keep "paused," "unverified," "points live" and "reward confirmed" as separate states. The best guide is not the one that makes an opportunity sound easiest. It is the one that helps you notice when your original plan no longer fits the facts.
