Introducing Orbiq: a 3D radial launcher that replaces the Windows Start menu

Meet Orbiq — a lightweight 3D radial launcher for Windows that replaces the Start menu.

The Start menu is a flat, crowded list. Orbiq is a spinning 3D dial you summon with a hotkey: one click to launch, one click to dismiss. Apps orbit the nucleus at a glance, so your most-used tools are one rotation away.

What it does

  • Summon with a hotkey — a 3D wheel fades in over your desktop, no alt-tabbing.
  • Drag to add — drop any shortcut or app into the nucleus to build your own wheel.
  • Multiple wheels — save a context wheel per project (dev, media, work) and swap instantly.
  • Any icon — replace any app's icon with any PNG you like.
  • Zero bloat — light install, no tracking, no telemetry, one-step uninstall.

Built for people who hate the Start menu

Orbiq is small on purpose: no account, no cloud, no ads. It's a native Windows app that stays out of the way until you need it, then gets out of the way the moment you're done.

Try it

Feedback welcome — especially on the 3D motion. I'm tuning the dial feel and would love to know how it feels on your machine.

Built with a custom WebGL dial renderer and a native Windows shell. Source is open, issues and PRs are welcome.

Orbiq — orbit your apps.
