After a long weekend of tinkering, I finally installed Arch Linux from scratch.
Yes, it’s known for being “difficult” — but that’s exactly the point. The manual installation process forced me to really understand:
Partitions & bootloaders
Systemd & networking
Package management with pacman
Building exactly the system I want
Now that I’ve set it up, I want to give back. My next step is to start contributing to Arch Linux — maybe improving docs, writing helper scripts, or building tools that make the process smoother for others.
Arch isn’t just an OS — it’s a community. And I’m excited to join in on the development side.
👉 If you’ve contributed to Arch or other Linux projects, what’s one piece of advice you’d share with a newcomer?
