NotebookBloom: .apkg vs AnkiConnect vs TSV — which export should you use?
There is no single best way to move NotebookLM flashcards into Anki. The right choice depends on whether you value zero setup, speed, or control.
- Use .apkg for the shortest first-time path: download, open, import.
- Use AnkiConnect when desktop Anki is already open and you export often.
- Use TSV when you want to inspect, clean, or remap fields first.
My default recommendation for a new user is .apkg. Direct push becomes convenient after setup, but setup is still setup.
Optimize for the first successful import before optimizing for one-click speed.
I built NotebookBloom around this workflow: https://notebookbloom.com
