NotebookBloom:Export NotebookLM flashcards to Anki with sources

NotebookLM can generate a useful flashcard set, but moving that set into Anki is a separate job.

There are three practical routes. APKG is the simplest first export because Anki can open the deck directly. TSV is useful when you want to inspect or edit the fields in a spreadsheet. AnkiConnect can send cards into a running desktop Anki app, but it requires the local bridge to be installed and available.

The field mapping matters more than the file format. The question should stay on the front, the answer should stay on the back, and the source should remain visible. I normally keep the source title and a usable URL or notebook reference on the back of the card.

After import, I check the deck name, card count, front and back mapping, source field, and a few cards containing non-English text or formulas. “Import complete” only proves that Anki opened the file.

NotebookBloom can read the flashcards loaded in the current NotebookLM notebook and export APKG, TSV or send them through AnkiConnect. The workflow is optional; the checks above still apply to any export method.

Practical checklist

Use a public or non-sensitive notebook for the first test. Verify the output before deleting the intermediate file, and keep the product limitation visible.
