Listen, Learn, Leverage
Completing over 100 customer surveys and interviews
Signals beat for new grocery shopping news
A prototype for in-person stores from which to buy
Retail Router will help you save money with time to fly
So what is the dilemma, a software engineer might ask?
As a Product Manager, am I up to the task?
Thanks to a friend who mentioned vibe coding
I found my happy place so that’s where I’m going
Since Lenny’s Newsletter offered coupons to use
I focused on learning curves and started to peruse
With a different tool I learned that credits go so fast
And thankfully Lenny offered Bolt as an option to last
Using the AI-driven UX from another source
Bolt took me right down the prototype course
Getting actual grocery prices would take too much time
So I asked Bolt for the grocery list, favorite stores, and shopping plan sample online
It beautifully added mock analytics
And adhered to the design for pre-sales linguistics
Integrations to Supabase, Github, Google, and Netlify were so easy
Stripe needed changes in Prod but in Test was quite breezy
With tokens to be saved I lived in Discussion mode
Including my favorite request for +- notation for changes in code
For new screens or new functionality though
I relied on Bolt’s incredible Implementation flow
Some things were fast that i thought would be slow
Such as integrations and pre-sales pages from above you know
Others were slow that I hoped would be quick
Including Supabase permissions and stores for your shopping trip to pick
The lessons I learned are quite mighty for sure
To use downloaded files for previous progress to secure
Reading Advanced Prompts and Discussion mode results are key
For sometimes they’re beautifully detailed and sometimes their details are too free
When you see a repeat response, AI’s confusion is clear
Trying another tool or asking Bolt for troubleshooting guidance is dear
Analytical skills are required for anything complex
And perseverance must be your go-to reflex
Vibe coding is a happy place for my delight
With focus on making Retail Router come to light
I’m so thankful for Bolt’s hackathon timing
And for Dev’s opportunity for reflective writing
You can learn more and not be left behind
By choosing a plan to share the suggestions you find
Early Access Retail Router is ready to view
So come help make in-person grocery shopping brand new!
