Thanks to Spheron Marketplace's streamlined process, deploying a BEVM Testnet node is now more accessible than ever. This blog post will guide you through the steps to launch a BEVM testnet node, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

Step 1: Funding Your Wallet in Spheron

Before you begin, having sufficient funds in your Spheron wallet is crucial. You can fund your wallet through two methods:

  • Funding via Web3 Wallet:

Follow the simple documentation provided by Spheron for a seamless experience. Web3 Wallet Funding Guide

  • Funding via Web2 Card:

For those who prefer traditional methods, Spheron also offers the option to top up your wallet using a credit card. Credit Card Funding Guide

If you encounter any issues during the funding process, don't hesitate to reach out for support on Spheron's official Discord or Telegram channels.

Step 2: Launching Your BEVM Testnet Node

Once your wallet is funded, you're ready to launch your BEVM testnet node.

Here's how:

  1. To get started login to spheron. If you dont already have a Spheron account then sign up here

  2. Start by clicking on 'New Cluster' from the Dashboard.

  3. Select 'BEVM Testnet Node' from the marketplace. You'll be presented with recommended resources needed to run the node efficiently. Not altering these settings is highly recommended, as changes could lead to deployment failures or suboptimal performance.

  4. Create a new wallet address via Metamask, as recommended by the BEVM team and in the documentation. For security purposes, do not use this wallet anywhere else.

  5. In the Advanced configuration, replace 'SpheronNode' with your new wallet address. If you're interested in receiving incentives, attach your wallet address as instructed here. When updating the wallet address, ensure no whitespaces are added.

6.Verify your setup on the BEVM Telemetry page. Once your wallet address appears on https://telemetry.bevm.io, it indicates that your node is running as expected. At this point, you don't need to do anything further. Let it run and wait for any official updates from BEVM.
