Block annoying notifications on your device

Whether you are using a PC or phone device; notifications are always bothersome. You can pop-ups regarding new updates, license expiry, malware infection, and various other things. While accessing the web; you may also get the notification on unsafe links, virus attacks etc. The system sends these pop-ups to notify the user about the system changes and dangers. But getting lots of popups is very bothersome while you can do some crucial work or playing online games. If you see unnecessary notifications then you can disable them all.

Disabling the update notification

Your OS provides regular updates for the system. When a new malware arrives for the system; OS provides the update to prevent the system from malware threat. Whenever you see the update notification on the screen; you must update the device. If you are running the computer on an outdated OS then you may get into various malware infections. When you see the update notification on the screen; download the update. Once you update the OS; you won’t get the notification until the new update arrives. But if you can’t update the system and don’t want to get the notifications then disable them.

  1. Go to the Start menu
  2. Choose the Update & Security page
  3. Tap on the Advanced option from the Windows Update page
  4. Go to the Update notification page and toggle it to Off Restart the device and you won’t see the update notifications on the screen. But you should not disable the notification otherwise you have to check for the new update manually. Keeping the system outdated can cause much harm to the system.

Disable antivirus notification

Your antivirus sends many notifications regarding virus detection, license expiry, upgrade plan, etc. Some antivirus programs send lots of popups which can affect your work. Users can disable the notifications. But disabling the notification may harm the system as some of the notifications are for system security. Meanwhile getting the upgrade regarding notification is unnecessary. When you can get lots of update notifications then get a premium license as it will also enhance the device security. But, when you don’t want to upgrade the plan then block Malwarebytes popups.

  1. Open the dashboard on the system
  2. Tap on your settings page
  3. Go to your Application tab and hit on Application Update Now go to the notification tab and toggle all the switches to off. Finally, hit the OK button and close the dashboard on the device. Now you won’t receive any notification from your antivirus. If your antivirus is giving the notification while playing online games; enable the gaming mode. Some antivirus programs offer gaming mode which mutes all the notifications on the system.

How to prevent fake pop-ups?

Fake pop-ups appear when the user is accessing the web. These pop-ups mainly appear as advertisements and warning messages. When the user clicks on the pop-up; he directly gets to the new page and malware enters the system. One of the top ways to prevent fake pop-ups is by using ad-blockers. Ad-blocker extension restricts all the ads on your browser. Once you add the ad-in on the browser then you can access the web page without any error. But adding lots of extensions can make the browser heavy and it may start working slowly.

Use browser protection tool

When you want to surf the web securely then installing the browser protection is a tool option. Once you install the browser protection; it filters all the web pages. Whenever the user taps on any unsecured link; your browser protection tool blocks the network. It also protected the user from all the fake pop-ups. After installing protection; the user won’t receive fake notifications like the system under infection etc. The best way to keep the system secured from fake pop-ups is by not clicking on any ads on the web. You can install various security tools on the system for protection but cybercriminals have devil minds. Your one mistake and the hacker enters the system. While using the internet; the user must use all his senses. Whenever you suspect any file is malicious then don’t open it. You can disable the unnecessary pop-ups like upgrade etc. But the user must check the essential notification and take the action.
