Hiya, I've been on DEV for about half a year (when I started working at Forem).
I'm seeing a place where folks are looking for long-form conversations regarding all the aspects of technology; it's so very uplifting.
Right now I'm learning more and more various refactoring strategies to keep shipping code to production.
A fun fact about myself? Back in 1998, at my first programming job, the majority of programmers were women. And the system that the team had designed and implemented remains a marvel and wonder that shapes how I approach software.

Hey all! Just joined Dev and I'm super excited I found it. I love being in a community that shares, teaches and uplifts and so far I've only seen good things.
I'm a beginner programmer currently learning Python for network automation which directly correlates with my career as a network engineer/general IT guy and C# to aid me in doing some game development for my own curiosity.
A bit of background about me. Dad, Husband, USMC Vet. I did nine years in the Marines as a IT guy, I did Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, Wushu, and Chinese wrestling for about 7-8 years and I'm as much into fitness and nutrition as I am technology!

Hey everyone! Been reading the occasional post from here but I finally decided to start sharing my journey in tech as I can finally offer something back to people. I'm currently in my industrial placement year at university and before that I was working part time at a student startup which I'll be coming back to in my final year in September.
