Life is short. A person only lives for a few decades, and when you subtract the time spent sleeping and eating, how much time do we really have left for learning and working?
Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, I’m already in the second semester of my sophomore year. It feels like I just stepped onto the university campus yesterday. Over the past year, I’ve gained a lot. From having no knowledge of computers to now having a basic understanding of computer science. This journey has been tough, but it’s also been filled with joy. From the very first day of university, I made it a point to remind myself not to waste a single day of my college life. So, I feel satisfied with the small achievements I’ve made so far. Every round of applause is the greatest affirmation of my efforts and motivates me to keep moving forward.
Why have I achieved certain results? I believe I am a good time manager. I once read a book where it said, “Successful people are excellent time managers.” Every day, I set a plan for myself and do my best to complete it. A day is short, but we often waste a lot of time on trivial things. I believe the key to utilizing time effectively is focus. Focus on one task and do it well. Don’t let external distractions or petty matters divert your attention. Focusing on something is a lifestyle, a spirit of dedication.
Time is fair to everyone. But why is it that people working with the same amount of time and on the same tasks can achieve different results? The reason lies in efficiency and the perspective from which we approach problems. Efficiency is the best measure of how much work a person accomplishes within a certain period of time. The fundamental way to improve efficiency is to make good use of time and use it wisely. When doing something, your goal is to do it well, without worrying about other things. A peaceful heart is also very important; it’s essential to stay calm even in the hottest environments. Working with a happy mindset in the same amount of time yields much better results than working with a frown. So, when working in the future, remember two points: first, focus and make good use of time, and second, enjoy doing the work with a positive attitude.
I hope everyone can become a good time manager.
