I wouldn't join it. When my payment method failed and I missed the emails, Linode deleted some of my content and I could not get it back.
That's not very good service.

I used Linode in the past and it seemed solid. However I see all this mess around the Hackathon and it seems really surprising to me that this amount of blocking issues exist and nobody from their side seems to care.
Perhaps it got a lot worse in recent years (I used it really long time ago).
