Back in 2012, we were looking for a way to reduce the technical barriers to sharing our work with a client while working at a digital agency. Back then, Docker did not exist, and the first iteration of Tugboat was a series of shell scripts wired into git responses. In 2018, Tugboat became its own company backed by 1M in funding from our parent company, Lullabot.
