Understandable - I can't listen to several podcasts people have recommended to me because of either the voices or the jingles. Or sometimes the bad audio quality. I listen on 1.4x speed and that sometimes amplifies bad recordings.
Understandable, but most of the time I listen from start to finish.
I still prefer reading.

Those shortcomings are what I suffer from as well.
Especially when a podcast gives you many points without ToC, it's hard to see where they are at.
And also the trouble could be caused due to most of people being visual learners.
One person I know is an auditory learner so he seems to understand better while listening.
