We are three students from Berlin with a passion for software. Typst was born out of our frustration with LaTeX. Not knowing what we were in for, we decided to take matters into our own hands and started building. Three years later, Typst is almost ready to launch.
Our stack
We use Rust to ship the Typst compiler as web assembly. Our web app is based on React and the landing page is custom HTML/CSS with very little JS. Most of the web app backend is written in TypeScript and runs on Azure Functions.
