๐Ÿ‘ป Ghost in the Sensor

๐ŸŽƒ Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge (Week 4): Project Complete!

๐ŸŒ Live Web Portal: https://ghost-in-the-sensor.onrender.com
๐Ÿ’ป GitHub Repo: https://github.com/yashselokar2025/Ghost-in-the-sensor

I have designed, scaffolded, built, and tested a brand-new project specifically engineered to compete and win in the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge: Week 4 โ€” "Ghost in the Machine":

๐Ÿ‘ป Ghost in the Sensor

An Open-Weight AI Forensic Engine for Nocturnal Telemetry Anomalies & Dรญa de los Muertos

๐Ÿ“ Where the Project Lives
Local Path: C:\Users\VICTUS\OneDrive\Desktop\ghost-in-the-sensor
Git Repository: Initialized and committed cleanly (main branch)
Deployment Ready: Fully configured with render.yaml for 1-click Render deployment!
๐Ÿ”ฎ How It Interprets the Theme: "Ghost in the Machine"

Every night between 12:00 AM and 04:00 AM (The Witching Hour), smart home thermistors, EMF probes, and IoT sensors record micro-deviations: sudden 8ยฐC localized cold spots, micro-seismic pipe vibrations, and electromagnetic surges.

Conventional IoT software dismisses these as "sensor noise." Ghost in the Sensor treats them as real spectral manifestations:

360ยฐ Phosphor Spectral Radar: Canvas-rendered radar with rotating scanlines, quadrant diagnostics (Attic, Basement, Altar, Pump Room), and acoustic pings.
Open-Weight Gemma 2 Forensic Intelligence: Analyzes multi-sensor anomalies, identifies the entity (Poltergeist Kinetic Core, Cryogenic Phantasm, The Daemon in the Wire, or Ancestral Luminary), and authors a chilling gothic forensic casefile.
Native Web Audio API EVP Synthesizer: Sweeps white noise through a 432 Hz bandpass filter and binaural oscillators to play decoded spirit box audio whispers directly in the browser.
Dรญa de los Muertos Spirit Remembrance: Detects gentle thermal warming and melodic harmonic resonance around ofrendas, dispensing celebration marigold petals and traditional calaverita remembrances.
๐Ÿ’ก Why Open Innovation Matters (Key Challenge Requirement)

In your DEV post, judges look closely at why an open-source approach beats closed models:

๐Ÿ”’ Absolute Privacy: Smart home bedroom telemetry and nocturnal acoustics stay 100% on-deviceโ€”never sent to closed cloud APIs.
๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Works with the Lights (and Internet) Off: True paranormal investigations happen in abandoned buildings or off-grid blackouts. Gemma 2 runs locally with zero internet dependency.
โšก Zero API Tolls & Censorship-Free: Proprietary APIs sanitize or reject gothic/superstitious prompts. Open weights provide unrestricted creative freedom with zero token costs.
๐Ÿ† Prize Tracks Targeted
Best Use of Gemma ($200): Google Gemma 2 open-weight architecture powers the anomaly analysis and lore generation.
Best Use of Render ($200): Pre-configured render.yaml for instant Web Service + Static Site deployment.
Overall Winner ($250 + DEV++ Membership): Highly original, visually stunning, and technically rich.
