We Built a Discord Whitelist Bot That Airdrops 5,000 $999 Directly to Your BlockDAG Wallet

We just shipped a Discord bot that lets community members register their BlockDAG wallet with a single command — and when we trigger an airdrop, 5,000 $999 tokens land in their wallet automatically, on-chain, no claiming required.

The Problem With Most Crypto Airdrops

Most airdrops are painful:

  • You have to fill out a Google Form
  • You wait weeks for a spreadsheet to be reviewed
  • You manually claim from a contract
  • Half the eligible wallets never claim

We wanted something different: register once, receive automatically.

How the 999DEX Discord Whitelist Works

We run a dedicated bot in our Discord server at #bot-commands. The flow is simple:

User types: !register 0xYourBlockDAGWallet
Bot replies: 🔱 Registered! Wallet 0x1234...5678 is on the whitelist.
             💰 You will receive 5,000 $999 in the next airdrop.

That is it. No forms. No email. No manual claiming.

Under the Hood: MultiSendWithMemo

The airdrop uses a custom smart contract we deployed called MultiSendWithMemo. Unlike a standard ERC-20 batch transfer, this contract embeds a message permanently on-chain as an event log alongside every transfer.

So when the airdrop fires, every transaction on bdagscan.com shows the message:

"999DEX Discord Airdrop — 5,000 $999 for registering on the 999DEX Discord whitelist. Trade, stake, earn at 999dex.com"

That message lives on the BlockDAG blockchain forever. It is verifiable, transparent, and cannot be edited.

The Airdrop Execution

When triggered with !airdrop confirm from an admin account, the bot:

  1. Reads all registered wallets from the whitelist
  2. Batches them into groups of 200 (BlockDAG mempool calldata limit)
  3. Approves the MultiSendWithMemo contract for the total amount
  4. Executes each batch transaction
  5. Posts all transaction hashes to #announcements
  6. Marks wallets as airdropped in the ledger

For 200 wallets, a single transaction uses ~2.5M gas. For 1,000 wallets, that is 5 transactions. Everything is confirmed on BlockDAG Mainnet (Chain ID 1404).

Why BlockDAG?

BlockDAG is an EVM-compatible blockchain that processes transactions in parallel rather than sequentially. For a batch airdrop, this means lower fees and faster confirmation compared to Ethereum. Our gas cost per wallet is roughly 10,000–13,000 gas at under 0.3 gwei — a fraction of what the same operation would cost on Ethereum mainnet.
