Diablo 4 Season 8 brings an exciting new twist to the game as Belial, the Lord of Lies, steps into the spotlight. This season is focused on challenging boss battles and incorporating Boss Powers into your gameplay, creating fresh dynamics and strategies for all players. Blizzard has increased the game's difficulty across the board, while also adjusting top-end outliers, providing a more challenging experience for players of all levels. Let's take a closer look at the new features, Boss Powers, new Diablo 4 Items, and some of the best leveling builds to help you tackle Season 8.

Season 8 Features: Boss Powers and Apparition Incursions

In Season 8, players can harness the powers of Diablo IV's toughest bosses. There are 24 different Boss Powers available, and each time you defeat a boss, you can claim their power. These powers come with two effects: a Main Power and a Modifier, which enhance your build. You can equip one Main Power and three Modifiers, with the ability to upgrade their effects using Spectral Ash, which is obtained by defeating bosses and participating in Apparition Incursions.

Apparition Incursions are a new seasonal mechanic where players can engage in timed boss rush events across Sanctuary. Defeating Apparition Monsters will trigger the appearance of an Apparition Boss, granting their Boss Power. After defeating your first Apparition Boss, you may encounter a second boss, followed by Belial himself, who joins the fight in the latter stages.

Reworked Boss Ladder

The Boss Ladder is also revamped in Season 8. Players can now challenge the Boss Ladder starting at Torment difficulty without having to collect prerequisite materials. Lair Boss Keys are now used to unlock chests containing Uniques and Mythic Uniques from each boss. Additionally, Stygian Stones have returned, now serving to convert into Lair Boss Keys for Greater Lair Bosses like Duriel, Andariel, and the Harbinger of Hatred.

A key new feature is that when you unlock a Lair Boss Hoard, there's a chance for a mini-Belial to ambush you. Defeating this mini-Belial rewards a second instance of the loot drop and grants Betrayer's Husks, the Lair Boss Key for buy Diablo IV Items Belial.
