I've recently found the shortcut Alt+F12 for getting me from the code area into the terminal windows. From there, I can then use Alt+Left/Right to scroll between the terminal windows I have open.
My greated time loss was moving my hand to the mouse to select the terminal, and then go to the right terminal to use. And I usually have one for any given task
