I first used it in as an intern in 2006 and thought it was amazing... Then a year later I started my postgrad studies and installed Eclipse on an older Pentium III machine with 256 MB of RAM.
I'd be typing code and it would suddenly just freeze solid and enter swap death for like 30 seconds, before the rest of what I'd typed suddenly spammed out in one burst.
