A universal Polymarket bot — politics, sports, 15m crypto, combos, copy-trading — looks busy. On a split venue with TWAP settlement and Q4 rails work, busy is how you pay the wrong book.
The market is not one venue
There is an offshore on-chain CLOB and a US exchange. They do not share liquidity. A “Polymarket price” without the venue is an incomplete quote.
@abrownfox001 only lives on the on-chain 5m crypto book. That is a constraint, not a limitation. One clock, one oracle family, one fill path.
Generalist bots inherit every mismatch at once: different settlement rules, different fee regimes, different incident modes. When the matching engine jitters, they have five theories and no halt.
Why 5m BTC is a complete product
Short-horizon BTC Up/Down is a bad place to be clever and a good place to be strict.
- settlement is a 30-second TWAP, not a last tick
- the book still prints size near 50¢
- a slot dies in 300 seconds, so inventory cannot hide
- public tape makes the process auditable
The edge is not “predict Bitcoin.”
The edge is: estimate whether official TWAP finishes above the frozen open, buy that side near fair, scratch when belief dies.
That loop does not port cleanly to a 6-month election or a 99¢ favorite.
What specialization forbids
