Yes, I have a moleskine and I love to write on paper.
I don't usually write the actual article, because it feels like duplicate work to write down on paper and then copy it in a digital form.
On the other hand, it's perfect for sketching out article ideas, having a rough outline, brainstorming on article titles, ...

Pro-tip: once I'm done, I take a picture of the paper thing and send it to a whatsapp/telegram group for easy retrieval, this way the information is easily available everywhere.
