I'm a Systems Reliability and DevOps engineer for Netdata Inc. When not working, I enjoy studying linguistics and history, playing video games, and cooking all kinds of international cuisine.
Watching anime. Currently working through Lupin the Third, actively following Black Clover, One Piece, Boruto, Fire Force, and hoping for new seasons of My Hero Academia and One Punch man.
Reading. Currently reading one of the better English translations of Miguel de Cervantes Saaverda’s El ingenioso hildago Don Quixote de la Mancha. Probably reading either J.R.R. Tolkein’s translation of Beowulf or Mervyn Peake’s Gormenghast trilogoy, unless of course one of the various ranobe I actively read gets a new volume in English before I get there.
Cooking. I’m a bit of a gourmand, and unfortunately much of the international cuisine that I particularly enjoy is not readily available in the area where I live (and what cuisines are often do not include many of the things I actually like from those cuisines), so i have to cook such food myself. This, in turn, has lead to me seriously impressing some relatives with comparatively simple dishes like gravlax or yakisoba simply because they’ve never even heard of them before, let alone tried them.
Video games. Currently actively playing Warframe.
Table-top RPGs. Just recently finished a homebrew D&D 5e campaign, currently playing in a Pathfinder 1e Kingmaker campaign, and working on building a homebrew Pathfinder 1e campaign.
LEGO. Picked up again as a hobby in the past year or so after having not done anything with LEGOs for years. Mostly focused on cars and other vehicles. I’ve built both the Lamborghini Siän and Bugatti Chiron sets (and plan to get the new McLaren and Ferrari sets coming out 2021-01-01), as well as a custom build of a Morgan Motors Three-Wheeler, and I’m currently working on a motorized Avtoros Shaman, though that’s on-hold until I can find an ABS-safe semi-dry lubricant that won’t make a mess everywhere (which is much easier said than done as it’s apparently difficult to find one that doesn’t include solvents that will degrade ABS in some way).

A student who loves programming a he is looking at many things at the same time (which probably is a bad idea, but he is happy)

I’ve been on a bit of a streak recently reading older international literature. I decided about a year ago to expand my knowledge of historical literature, especially from other cultures. El ingenioso hildago Don Quixote de la Mancha easily made my reading list because of it’s cultural significance and how highly praised it is by many literary scholars. I’m part way through chapter 15 at the moment, and so far rather enjoying it, though I will admit that it is somewhat heavier reading than I am used to (though it’s nothing compared to Romance of the Three Kingdoms in that respect, that one almost reads like a history textbook...).
I recommend GATE (Crunchyroll), Erased (Crunchyroll, Netflix), Vandread (Funimation, Hulu), Robot Carnival (Amazon Prime), Memories (Amazon Prime), Re:Zero (Crunchyroll, Funimation), Is it Wrong to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon? (Crunchyroll, Netflix)

I love GATE (I’m sad they have not done any new seasons, there’s a lot more story there), and rather like Is it Wrong to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon. I’ve not seen the others yet, though Re:Zero is on my list eventually. Next big one for me after Lupin the Third will probably be Detective Conan (known as Case Closed in the US because of ridiculous IP laws) as it’s one of the few remaining anime series based on a best selling manga that I have not seen.
For Anime - I am watching Tokyo ghoul and classroom of the elite.
Cooking - I want to learn cooking. Currently I am newbie in cooking.
Video games - Mostly I play FIFA on the PC and PES on mobile. Now you know that I am big football fan.
And you Lego collection is fabulous ♥️
Wow, as a native Spanish (and Spaniard for the matter) it impresses me that you are reading El Quijote, even in Spanish it's a dense book.
