Why Your Page Is Indexed but Still Not Ranking (Part 2)

4. Your Content Lacks Search Intent Alignment

Most people think ranking is about keywords
It’s not

It’s about intent

Ask yourself
Why is someone searching this keyword?

There are 4 main types:

  • Informational (learn something)
  • Navigational (find a specific site)
  • Transactional (buy or act)
  • Commercial (compare before buying)

If your content doesn’t match the intent
Google won’t rank it

Example:
If someone searches “best SEO tools”
And your page is just explaining “what is SEO”

You’re out instantly

👉 Fix:
Study top 5 results
Reverse engineer what Google is rewarding
Then match that intent exactly

5. Weak Topical Authority

One article won’t rank anymore
Google trusts websites that cover topics deeply

If you only wrote 1 post about SEO
You’re competing with sites that have 100+ SEO posts

That’s the reality

👉 Fix:

  • Build content clusters
  • Interlink related articles
  • Go deep, not wide

Think like this
Not “one blog”
But “one complete topic ecosystem”

6. No Internal Linking Strategy

You published the post
But did you connect it?

Internal links help Google:

  • Understand your site structure
  • Discover pages faster
  • Pass authority

No links = isolated page

👉 Fix:

  • Link from old posts to new ones
  • Use relevant anchor text
  • Keep it natural

7. Low Content Quality Signals

Google tracks how users interact with your content

If users:

  • Leave quickly
  • Don’t scroll
  • Don’t engage

Your ranking drops

👉 Fix:

  • Strong hook in first 2 lines
  • Clear structure
  • Easy readability
  • Real value, not filler

** Final Thought
**
Indexing is just step one
Ranking is earned

If your page isn’t ranking
It’s not random

There’s always a reason

Fix the gaps
And rankings will follow
