How I Built It
->Hostel life can become difficult when important information is spread across WhatsApp messages, PDFs, notices, and personal notes.
I wanted to build something small but genuinely useful for a real student rather than creating another generic AI chatbot.
Why Does Open Innovation Matter?
Using open-source AI is important for HostelAI because student information can be personal.
An open approach provides benefits such as:

I built HostelAI for a college friend who lives in a hostel and often has to deal with scattered information such as timetables, assignments, notices, and hostel-related information.
Instead of searching through different PDFs, messages, and notes, HostelAI provides a simple AI-powered interface to find the required information.
How It Works
The student provides relevant college or hostel information.
HostelAI processes the information using AI.
The student can ask questions in natural language.
HostelAI provides a relevant answer based on the available information.
