Hey Indie Hackers!
I’m Amay, a full-stack dev building useful dev tools. Recently, I built something out of a real problem a friend faced and now I’m launching it as a product
The Problem
One of my friends had a bunch of projects using API keys that expire every few weeks. Each time a key expired, he had to:
- Manually update the key in his code
- Rebuild the project
- Re-deploy the app
😩 Painful, right?
We realized there was no simple, secure way to store and rotate API keys without touching the code.
The Solution: API Vault
So I built API Vault - a secure, developer-first way to store, manage, and access API keys or secrets.
With API Vault, you can:
- Store keys securely
- Access them via SDK (JS/Python) or REST API
- Rotate keys in the dashboard — no code changes
- Get full logs of who accessed what, and when
- Manage secrets across multiple projects in one place
It’s like a focused “1Password” but built for developers and teams managing API keys.
Goal
We’re aiming to get 100 devs using API Vault in the next 30 days and would love your feedback 🙏
If you’re a solo founder, indie hacker, or dev working on multiple projects, give it a try. It’s free to start and takes 2 mins to set up.
