Most developer portfolios look good… but they don’t convert.
Mine was the same.
Clean UI, nice animations, decent projects but zero leads.
So I stopped focusing on design and started focusing on conversion.
What Was Wrong?
No clear CTA (what should visitor do?)
No proof (why trust me?)
No direction (just scrolling = exit)
Basically, it was a digital resume, not a lead machine.
What I Changed
- Clear Call-To-Action Instead of “Explore more”, I added: 👉 “Start a Project on WhatsApp” Now users don’t think they act.
- Built for Speed (Not Fancy Animations) Slow sites kill conversions. Optimized everything: Images Fonts Hosting (GitHub)
- SEO Basics That Actually Work Proper titles Clean URLs Sitemap + indexing Nothing fancy just correct execution.
- Focused on One Goal Not “look cool” But → get inquiries Result? Not huge numbers. But real thing: ✔ First few direct inquiries ✔ People actually messaging from website ✔ Consistent traffic growth That’s what matters. Want to See It Live?
