Search by Category followed by Subcategory

How to :
Basically my theme is to search images based on categories and sub categories -
Detail :

1. user first select category

2. user then select subcategory

3. user then search item based on selected category and subcategory

all in all now i want to retrieve images from api or from database in the DOM
