Deciding to start a startup

    • Create: A product that resonates with some than insignificant to a billion
  • Why not to start?

    • Irrelevant components:
      • Age/Experience
      • Smartness
      • Business-savviness
      • Regimental
    • Relevant components:
      • Determination
      • Fearless
      • Partnered
      • Independent
  • Before the startup

    • Counterintuitive: Consider partners' advice, even if it seems counterintuitive.
    • Expertise: Understand your users and solve their problems, and not in be an expert on startups.
    • Game: Don't look for a trick. Make something that people want, and you will succeed only to the extent that you do.
    • All-Consuming: Starting a startup will engulf your life in ways you can't fathom, and if it thrives, that engulfment will persist for an extended duration.
    • Idea: Allow startup ideas to form organically in your mind without conscious awareness.
    • Try: If you're absolutely terrified of launching a startup, it's wise to reconsider. But if you're merely unsure and curious, the only way to dispel doubts is through action.
