The answer is specifics. Not "proficient in AI tools" but a sentence about a thing you built or changed. You automated the weekly sales summary and cut it from four hours to thirty minutes. You built a set of templates that let a three person support team handle double the volume. You cleaned and analysed a public dataset and wrote up what you found, including what you got wrong.
For freshers this matters even more, because you have no work history to point at. Three small pieces of self initiated work, explained clearly with the reasoning and the limitations, land better in an interview than any certificate. Interviewers respond to detail. They cannot verify a course, but they can tell within two questions whether you actually did the thing.
One line that should never appear anywhere: an achievement you did not have. Inflated claims come apart in the follow up question, and the damage is worse than a plain resume honestly written.
