Turning Meeting Notes Into Action With AI

Meetings produce two things. Discussion, and a vague memory of what was decided. The second one is where most follow up fails.

AI helps at the stage after the meeting, and this is more useful than people expect. Rough notes typed during a call can be turned into a clean structure. What was discussed, what was decided, who owns what, and what remains unresolved. That last category matters, because open questions are usually what stall a project.

A practical approach is to type messy notes without worrying about grammar or order during the meeting, then process them immediately after. Ten minutes of cleanup while the context is fresh saves an hour of confusion later.

A second use is drafting the follow up message. Same notes, different output. Ask for a short summary email to participants with clear action items and dates.

A third is preparation for the next meeting. Feeding in the previous summary and asking what should be checked or closed keeps continuity across weeks.

There is a caution. Recording or feeding confidential discussions into any tool should follow your organisation's policy, and you should check what your company allows before making this a habit.

be10x runs AI workshops for working professionals covering this kind of everyday workflow, which is worth checking out if follow ups are a weak point in your team.
