I recorded this track at BAYSIDE Jenny in Osaka using a Sony Handycam that had just been released at the time, but a stranger from overseas titled it “January 2, 1997, Tokyo Liquidroom” and uploaded it to the internet without my permission.

As you can see from the tour schedule at the time, Aphex Twin was in Australia on January 2, 1997, so it was physically impossible for him to have performed a live show in Tokyo.

The bootleg recording circulating online is the one I recorded, and since the bass has been boosted compared to the original, I’m uploading the original recording here.
I’ve added a little reverb to remove some noise.

This live recording has been licensed from WARP Records.

The actual performance lasted about two hours, but my camera’s battery died, so this is all I was able to record.
