I do agree that if you want to progress you need to sacrifice some of your free time, but I don't think a few extra hours of code daily, after you've been working for another 8-9 is a realistic goal. I do feel your pain, take a break from coding for a few months and when you're back, there are at least two "must know" frameworks :)).
