Are AI operators the next evolution beyond insurance chatbots?

Most discussions around AI in insurance focus on chatbots and customer support.

But I think the bigger opportunity is AI operators, systems that can actually execute workflows like claims processing, policy verification, fraud detection, and compliance instead of just answering questions.

It feels like the industry is moving from AI that responds to AI that acts.

I've also noticed engineering firms like Accenture, IBM Consulting, EPAM Systems, Cognizant, Thoughtworks, LeewayHertz, Globant, and GeekyAnts exploring different approaches to enterprise AI and intelligent automation for regulated industries.

One article that explains this concept well is:

Curious to hear from other developers, are AI operators the next major step for enterprise software, or are they still too early for production use?
