Same Work, Less Energy: The Green Math Behind Maxion-mcp

I'm Kyle Loiacono, founder of J&K Advanced Technologies. I built Maxion-mcp, an MCP security architecture that runs 100% local. This post is about its second benefit: it wastes less of everything — compute, storage, and energy.

The context: data centers used 415 TWh of electricity in 2024, about 1.5% of global electricity (IEA, "Energy and AI," April 2025), and the IEA's base case has that more than doubling to roughly 945 TWh by 2030. Every efficiency gain gets multiplied by that scale.

What Maxion does differently, from my internal testing (Oct 2026):

  • Diamonize LSA screens MCP tool calls in-process — 24–28 µs mean per check, zero network hops, 54/54 known adversarial patterns blocked. No separate screening tier to provision, power, and cool.
  • Quezar stores structured telemetry offline at 12.5× compression — about 92% less storage — with zero external connections.
  • V16 governs throughput: +35% sustained throughput, throttling events 14 → 0. That is roughly 25.9% fewer node-hours for the same work.

The modeled math, with assumptions on the table: take a hypothetical 100-node deployment with 50 TB of telemetry, running 8,760 hours a year, at 400 W per node and a facility PUE of 1.54 (the Uptime Institute 2025 average), on the US average grid (0.3497 kg CO2e/kWh, EPA eGRID2023). The compute saving — 227,111 node-hours avoided — comes to about 139,900 kWh and 48.9 tons of CO2e a year. The storage saving adds roughly 1,210 kWh. Total: about 141 MWh and 49 tons of CO2e avoided per year, per 100 nodes. Honest caveats: the full saving lands only if freed capacity is actually deprovisioned rather than left idling; I have deliberately NOT counted network energy, because published per-GB estimates are contested and the marginal energy of an avoided in-datacenter round trip is near zero — the network claim is latency and simplicity, not kilowatt-hours. And the framing is "less energy for the same work," never an absolute reduction — efficiency is exactly how the industry absorbed a 6× growth in compute on a 6% energy rise from 2010–2018 (Masanet et al., Science 2020).

Less energy per task is also less spend per task. If you run MCP in production, I will integrate Maxion free in your own sandbox and prove the numbers on your systems — the 30-day pilot ($2,500 through October 29, money-back guaranteed) starts only if it proves out.
