The New Supernatural Launches In Early Access On Quest

What Supernatural's Quest Relaunch Teaches Anyone Building Training Software

VR fitness just got a second life — and a telling one. UploadVR reports the new independent version of Supernatural has launched in Early Access on Meta Quest, proof that niche, purpose-built VR training can find a real audience once the headset stops being a novelty and starts being a tool.

That's the shift worth watching: Quest is becoming a delivery layer for structured, daily practice — not just workouts and shooters.

Which is exactly the lane we're building in. AmblyoPunch is a Meta Quest vision-training game for people with amblyopia (lazy eye) and related binocular vision challenges. You punch Gabor-pattern coins, dodge red spikes, and move through a four-stage dichoptic plan designed to train both eyes to work together — an alternative to the isolation of patching.

Design decisions we took seriously:

• Automatic mode gates progression on performance — typically ≥70% success across a rolling window of 10 outcomes, with ≥80% required for strabismus profiles before entering final fusion training
• Settings are tuned per user: which eye is lazy (Left/Right), severity (Mild/Moderate/Severe), and strabismus type (Esotropia/Exotropia), which adjusts Stage 4 disparity and vergence shift
• Worlds escalate village → city → space → moon → Mars → Venus, with objects getting faster, coins smaller, and spikes larger as difficulty scales
• The four stages do distinct work: monocular warm-up for the lazy eye, breaking suppression by dimming the dominant eye's view, rebalancing clarity back toward both eyes, then fusion training within Panum's fusion area

Engaging enough that people come back daily. That's the hard part in any training, and it's the part VR finally solves.

AmblyoPunch is a training/assistive game — not a medical device, treatment, or cure. It complements, never replaces, professional eye-care guidance.
