A new rich text editor based on Lexical replaces Slate, offering improved customization and the ability to directly embed Payload blocks.
Performance has also been enhanced.
Payload is now a monorepo for improved development. The developers outlined future plans like visual editing, multiplayer editing, additional database support, and integrating AI features into Payload.
