Clean Up Video Clips in Minutes on Your Mac### Trim the beginning and end, remove unwanted sections, and export a finished MP4

Not every video needs a complete editing project.

Sometimes the recording is already good. It simply starts too early, continues too long, or contains a mistake, pause, notification, or unwanted section in the middle.

A traditional video editor can handle this, but opening a large project, arranging tracks, selecting export settings, and rendering the result feels excessive for such a small job.

That is exactly why I created Clip Cutter.

See the Entire Clip as a Filmstrip

Clip Cutter presents the video as a visual filmstrip. Instead of working with an abstract timeline, you can see what happens throughout the recording and quickly locate the part you want to keep or remove.

Drop a video into the app and use the visual controls to:

  • Trim unwanted footage from the beginning
  • Shorten the end of the recording
  • Remove a section from the middle
  • Add an optional fade-in and/or fade-out
  • Save the finished result as a new MP4 The original video remains untouched.

Remove the Mistake Without Starting Again

Imagine recording a product demonstration, tutorial, screen capture, or presentation.

The recording is nearly perfect, but halfway through:

  • You pause for too long
  • A notification appears
  • You select the wrong option
  • Nothing happens for several seconds
  • You repeat part of the explanation
  • An unwanted scene needs to disappear You should not have to repeat the complete recording because of one bad section.

With Clip Cutter, you can select the unwanted middle part, remove it, and keep everything before and after it.

A Faster Workflow for Everyday Videos

Full video editors are excellent when you need multiple tracks, transitions, effects, titles, audio mixing, or color correction.

Clip Cutter is intended for the much more common situation where the video only needs to become shorter and cleaner.

The workflow stays focused:

  • Drop in the video.
  • Review it in the filmstrip.
  • Set the beginning and end.
  • Remove an unwanted middle section if necessary.
  • Enable fades when they improve the result.
  • Save the edited clip as a new MP4. There is no project management and no need to learn a professional editing interface.

Useful for More Than Movie Projects

Quick trimming is helpful for many kinds of video:

  • Screen recordings
  • App demonstrations
  • App Store preview recordings
  • Tutorials
  • Presentation clips
  • Webcam recordings
  • Social media videos
  • Product demonstrations
  • Clips recorded on a phone or camera In many cases, editing does not mean creating something new. It simply means removing the parts that do not belong.
