Rate Converter Pro: Three Currencies at a Glance*One amount, up to three currencies — for travel, online shopping, and quick price comparisons.*

One hotel lists its price in euros, another in Swiss francs. An international online shop shows its prices in US dollars. To make sense of those amounts, you usually want to know one thing: What does that cost in the currency you normally use?

With two currencies, converting an amount is straightforward. Add a third, and you start switching back and forth: change the currency, remember the result, then switch again.

That is where Rate Converter Pro comes in: The app can display up to three currencies at the same time, keeping the comparison in view.

One Amount, Several Perspectives

If you travel between Germany, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, for example, you can keep euros, Swiss francs, and British pounds on screen together. You can see what the same amount means in all three selected currencies.

It is useful for online shopping, too. A price in US dollars is easier to judge when you can see its equivalent in euros alongside it. If you also think or budget in another currency, you can include that as well.

The third currency is a small addition that makes an everyday task easier: You do not have to remember the previous result while looking up the next conversion.

A Quick Check When You Need It

I developed Rate Converter Pro as a simple tool for these situations. Open the app, enter an amount, and compare its value in your selected currencies.

It answers the questions that come up throughout the day: How much does this offer cost me? What does that hotel price work out to? What is this amount worth in another currency?

For that, a currency converter should be easy to reach and easy to read. That is why displaying up to three currencies together is the app’s central feature.

Useful Without an Internet Connection

Rate Converter Pro uses reference exchange rates from the European Central Bank. When you are online, the app refreshes its rates at launch. Without a connection, you can still convert amounts using the most recently downloaded rates. The app shows when those rates were last updated.

That is useful while traveling — when you have no connection but still want to get a sense of a price.

The converted amounts are a guide. The amount you actually pay may differ because of the exchange rate and fees applied by your bank, card provider, or currency exchange service.

On iPhone, iPad, and Mac

Rate Converter Pro is available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You can check a price on your phone while traveling or compare costs on your computer while planning a trip.

For me, the key feature is seeing up to three currencies together: One amount becomes easier to understand from several perspectives, without constantly switching between currency pairs.
