International Women's Day is an important annual event celebrated on March 8th that recognizes the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women worldwide.
Further, while International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8th every year, the entire month of March is often referred to as Women's History Month or Women's Month. This month is dedicated to celebrating the contributions and accomplishments of women throughout history and across all fields, including science, technology, politics, art, and culture.
For me, it is always inspiring to witness and be part of the various events and initiatives that take place during this month. These events often include panel discussions, conferences, workshops, and other forms of activism and advocacy that aim to raise awareness about gender equality and empower women in different ways.
Being part of these events allows me to learn more about the challenges that women face and the progress that has been made towards achieving gender equality. It also provides an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations that are committed to advancing the cause of women's rights.

Women In Leadership themed Pinkathon
The "Women In Leadership" themed IWD Pinkathon was organized at K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology.
I was thrilled to kick off the Pinkathon and share my valuable insights and perspectives with aspiring engineers, encouraging them to cultivate a stronger desire for innovation and creativity.
The IWD Pinkathon, with its theme of "Women In Leadership," had the primary objective of emphasizing the importance of aspiring professionals persevering with their passion, determination, and enthusiasm in order to achieve leadership positions in the future. By promoting this message, the Pinkathon aimed to inspire and empower women to pursue their career goals and become leaders in their respective fields.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the boys who participated in the Pinkathon. Their involvement emphasizes the fact that they are super supportive co-travellers and enthusiastic cheerleaders in every step that the girls and their fellow engineering mates take towards their success.
Thanks for the wonderful initiative, Dr.Gopalakrishnan Radhakrishnan, Principal KSRCT, and I was glad to join the run as well as evergreen conversation with my friend, Dr Bharani Murugesan, Head of Textile Department, KSRCT.
Kudos to the professors Dr.Senthilvadivu, and Dr.Kalpana, Vice Principal Dr.Karthikeyen for pulling up a great event.
