  • Rapid posting / IP switching on new accounts trips Reddit's spam filter and trust-scoring system — posts get silently removed and the account is flagged within days. New accounts must use a consistent residential IP and post ≤5 times/day.

Add one link post per week to a subreddit you've already commented in 5+ times. Warm the sub with comments first, then post. Maintain the 9:1 comment-to-post ratio even at this stage.

How to detect a shadow-ban (3 steps)

  1. Open incognito, go to reddit.com/user/[yourusername] — if "page not found," you're shadow-banned.
  2. Post in r/ShadowBan — a bot replies with your exact status within minutes.
  3. Check your own post URL in incognito — if it 404s or shows removed, you're shadow-banned.
