Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a huge part of many kids’ and grown-ups’ lives for six whole years, and that feels totally amazing. For me, this game is more than just pressing buttons and collecting fruits—it’s a place where I built tiny, wonderful worlds, made happy memories, and turned simple ideas into magical spots. I’ve spent countless hours designing islands, picking flowers, arranging furniture, and creating spots that still make my heart feel warm when I look back. Today, I want to share my most beloved builds from my islands, each with its own fun theme and special story that I will never forget. These aren’t just random decorations; they’re little pieces of my heart saved in a video game.
Magical Fairy Spots and Cozy Lake Corners
My very first island, Pelican Bay, was all about fairycore magic, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I started my YouTube channel with this island, so every path, every flower, and every tiny build brings back so many good old days. I wanted this island to feel like a secret fairy forest where butterflies fly around, mushrooms grow in circles, and ACNH pink flowers bloom everywhere you look.
The most wonderful spot on Pelican Bay is my fairy circle. I covered the ground with soft pink cherry-blossom patterns, placed round mushroom stones in a perfect ring, and added lots of bright flowers that look like they’re glowing. Tiny ladybugs crawl around, and butterflies flutter past, making it feel like real fairies might visit at any moment. At sunset, this spot glows in warm pink and orange light, and it’s so peaceful you could sit there for hours. I even had a little trouble making this circle—my recording tool glitched, and I had to replant flowers many times—but all that hard work made it feel even more special when it was finished.
I also adore the big lake near the fairy circle. It’s wide and calm, with soft grass along the edges and flowers growing down to the water. When the sun sets over the lake, the water shimmers like it’s covered in tiny stars, and it’s one of the prettiest sights I’ve ever made in the game. I also built a little mushroom farm and a lily-of-the-valley garden, plus a tiny tea party table where my animal friends could sit and chat. This island taught me how to design and let my creativity grow, and I’ll always love going back to visit.
Bright, Fun Kidcore Vibes and Playful Laundromat Fun
Leapfrog, my kidcore-themed island, is the most cheerful and lively place I’ve ever built. It’s full of bold colors, cute toys, rainbow paths, and spots that feel like a childhood dream come to life. This island got lots of new people watching my videos, so it’s extra nostalgic for me and for many people who follow my channel. Every corner feels happy, like a big, colorful playground that never closes.
My most loved build on Leapfrog is the tiny laundromat. I wanted it to look real, like a laundromat you might visit in real life, so I added washing machines, dryers, socks scattered on the floor, quarters lying around, and clothes hanging on lines to dry. There’s a small waiting area with vending machines, little rubber ducks, and even a tiny snack corner. It looks messy in the best way—like real kids and animals come here to wash their clothes every day. I based this laundromat on my own memories, so it feels personal and full of joy. The colors are bright and fun, with rainbow tiles on the floor and cute details everywhere you look.
I also love Tangy’s brunch restaurant on this island. It has froggy chairs, toast-shaped decorations, colorful stalls, and rainbow borders along the paths. The plush shop is another favorite, filled with stuffed animals and cute toys that make you want to reach into the screen and grab one. There’s a tiny school area, a post office, a rainbow garden, and a train station, all with that playful kidcore feel. When the 2.0 game update came out, I had to redo many spots to add new items, and it was a little stressful, but it made the island even better. Leapfrog is the kind of place that makes you smile as soon as you step onto it, and I’ll always love how bright and fun it is.
Rustic Farm Vibes and Sunny Honey Spots
Storybrook, my farmcore island, brings calm, rustic charm and sweet country vibes. It’s not as flashy as Leapfrog or as magical as Pelican Bay, but it’s cozy in its own quiet way, with barns, orchards, farm animals, and wide open fields. I made lots of great memories here, including a fun video with my grandma that I’ll always treasure.
The best build on Storybrook is my big honey and bee farm. It’s a large area with winding paths, beehives, honey stalls, and bees flying all around. I thought about real honey stands I saw on road trips in Florida when I designed it, so it has that personal, homey feel. The paths curve through grass and flowers, leading to small stalls where you can “buy” fresh honey, and the whole area feels sunny and calm. I also love the big red barn made with Mario items, the chicken coop, a country fair with rides and a carousel, and a farmers market with apples and fresh veggies.
I tried watercaping here too—making little waterfalls and rivers—and I was really proud when it turned out cute. I built a neighborhood where all the animal houses sit close together, which is different from how I usually spread houses out, and it felt warm and friendly. There’s an orchard, a bug-catching spot for Flick, and quiet yards with waterfalls for my animal neighbors. Storybrook is slow-paced and sweet, like a day on a real farm, and it reminds me to enjoy simple, quiet moments in the game.
I also made a spring-themed island called Lack in only 30 days with no Nintendo Online, which was a big challenge. I filled it with flowers, a cute neighborhood, a seafood restaurant, and a heart-shaped flower field on a cliff. It was hard to finish so fast, but it turned out adorable, and I’m so proud of that project. My tropical Florida island, Froggoda, has amazing spots too—like a detailed Everglades area, a Disney castle, a strip mall, and a pool area. The Everglades build is my top pick here; it’s wild and tropical, with lots of small details that make it feel like a real Florida swamp.
Every island I built has its own style, its own stories, and its own special spots that make me happy. Animal Crossing lets us be creative, make memories, and build little worlds that feel like home. Whether you like fairy magic, bright kid fun, farm calm, or tropical vibes, you can make anything you dream of.
