Robotics Automation Process - what is RPA ?

Robotics Process Automation

Nowadays, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) became a useful technology in the business world.

RPA is based on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) which uses various software to perform a business oriented task. Previously, in many organizations the large volume of data was handled by individuals. But with the use of th RPA all the maintenance of data can be done easily with the help of a few software setup and with zero human intervention.

RPA is based on business process automation where tasks handling in large organisations such as these repetitive tasks like: updating users data, queries evaluation, maintaining databases, these are done with the help of robotics automation now.

Also software robots are easy to integrate in any system according to the requirements, and the results they provide are relatively more accurate and quicker compared to the human performance.

How does it works?

RPA observes the repeated actions performed by users then the automation is done on those tasks directly . Hence, RPA works on the business existing applications and handles routine tasks like E-Mail invoice processing, report maintenance and generation, data extraction, access websites and much more.

Benefits of RPA:

1 - Cost reduction –
Using RPA’s for Business Process Automation costs less than hiring employees to do the same tasks.

2 - Reduced operational risk –
RPA provides error free results and reduces the chances of mistakes as work is done by robots and not by humans.

3 - Saves labor and time –
As the work done by RPA is fully automatic thus it is quick in nature and also reduces manual efforts and time.

4 -Improved accuracy –
RPA provides more accurate results than the manual work.

5 - Simplicity and flexibility –
Working with RPA is very easy as it doesn’t requires any kind of coding and can be integrated on any system hence is flexible by nature.

6 - Reduced workloads –
As most of the tasks in organisations will work on RPA, thus it will lead to lesser workload on employees.

Currently, my company Infosys bpm , is trying to spread the RPA philosophy in all of the departments which is something that I think is very useful to the company itself as well as to employees'satisfaction as they won't be obliged to perform the same boring repetitive tasks which will give them more time to perform other important work.
