Somehow I find that it's still difficult to build good admin dashboards, even though so many businesses and projects share needs. In Rails land, I have now used Rails Admin, ActiveAdmin as well as Administrate. Administrate is probably the best so far. It's not such a config nightmare, but I still feel like none of these tools go all the way with data querying, displaying resources, data visualization, and administrative visualizations.
I'm interested in trying out Forest Admin as a company trying to go after this space with a service, but it's just so hard to foresee the gotchas before you stub your toe with a new direction.
I also need to find a good tool that integrates with Node/Mongo for different app I'm working on.
Anybody have any suggestions for services I might not be aware of or ideas on how I might want to approach building admin dashboards in general?

Great find, Ben!
I've used the Forest Admin Dashboard Template before and it was fantastic.
I'll definitely explore the free alternatives you've suggested to see how they stacks up against other free admin dashboard templates available.
Did you tried forest admin? What do you use for dev.to now?
